As a parent we constantly want what we feel is “best” for our children and our selves. Too often we have this notion of perfection and that if we don’t reach some mark (which only we can see) we are failing them and ourselves. This benchmark is a difficult hurdle to reach. Success in life, I believe, often has to do with rolling with the punches, challenges and things we just don’t plain like. That’s not to say we should (or could) give up on our ideals, but rather place reasonable expectations for that which we must have/do and that which is a nice or (dare I say) a way to keep up with the other mommies in the play group..
These pages reflect this theme, one in which I truly hope I don't mess up too badly.
